TIPS FOR CHRISTIAN MOTHERS INRODUCING THEIR CHILD TO CHRIST

Christian mothers, you are not alone! There are many Christian Mothers wanting their child to follow Christ, live a joyful Christian life style and don't know where to start. Start introducing your child to Christ at birth. If the parents stay consistent teaching their child about Christ, it will become more natural for your child to ENJOY living a Christian life style. Here are some scriptures and tips that will help encourage and motivate your child to stay close to God.

Keep saying the word "Jesus" to your child

1 John 4:15 KJV Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Having your child repeat the word Jesus will help them understand that Jesus is a positive word. The word Jesus is actually easy for children to pronounce and remember. (jee-zus) they will also be more intrigued figuring out who Jesus is. Remember that God created your beautiful baby, therefor we should acknowledge his works and teach our children that we have an almighty Father who loves us and watches over us forever. Teach your child that it is normal to believe in God and praise him. Teaching your child about Jesus (son of God) and how powerful he is, will help your child see that they will always have a father to look up to and trust everyday.

Sing and dance to Christian songs with your child

Psalm 95:1 KJV O Come, Let us sing unto the Lord.Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

BABIES/CHILDREN LOVE MUSIC. Singing and dancing is one of the best things to do with your child because it helps them express themselves, become inspired, and it's fun. Plus, singing christian music with your child helps them see how joyful it is to worship the Lord. Christian music is also appropriate for your child to listen to as they will only hear positive and encouraging words. It is also great to read Christian books to your child during story time or bed time.

Great Christian nursery rhymes to teach your child:

"Jesus Loves me"

"Jesus love is a bubbling over"

"Jesus loves the little children"

"Clap your tiny hands for joy"

Pray with your child daily...mornings, meals, and nights

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ

Praying everyday means that you are continuously defeating the enemy. Your trusting, worshiping, thanking, praising, and rejoicing God all at the same time. Teach your child to pray everyday and help them understand that they can come to God about anything at any time. Praying also teaches your child how to trust the Lord and worry less.

Show Your Children that you're proud to be a believer

Galatians 5:1KJV Stand fast therefor in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

If you love God and want your children to have everlasting life with God, teach them God's word with pride. Don't worry about the criticism you and your children will receive from others because that is expected and God will take care of those who have yet to believe. So be proud to be a follower of Christ and surround your child with other proud Christians families.

Show your children that being a believer is a daily walk with God.

Romans 12:2 KJV And be not confirmed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In the world that we live in, children are seeing things that is not of God on a daily basis. Therefore, children may fall into temptation and they may stray away from the Lord. However, if children follow Jesus' teachings daily, they will not fall into temptation easily. Your children will grow wiser and become more aware of their surroundings, thoughts, and actions. Your child will also be in a healthy stable place mentally if they stay consistent in their walk with God. Every mother deserves to see their child grow in Christ and be a great example to others.

Consistently go to church with your child every Sabbath.

Exodus 20:8 KJV Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God...

When you bring your child to church every week, your child will begin to realize that church is a fun place to learn and grow. Your child will also make new friends and most importantly, grow in faith and love for Jesus. Teach your child that it's important to keep the Sabbath because we are SAVED.

Read scriptures with your children. Scripture is our powerful weapon.

2 Timothy 3:16 KJV All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Some people may get offended when Christians use scripture to teach or defend something. That is simply because scripture is a powerful weapon. The truth from scripture is hard to hear but it will set your children free. Scripture is not easy for children to understand at first, but that is why there is Bible study through Christian ministries. Bible study is great for children to gain understanding and knowledge. So have your children participate in bible study so they can continuously feel encouraged and motivated as they get through each day. (Not every ministry is right for your children, so parents, do your do diligence when finding the right ministry for your child).
